Dr. VASANTHAN’s passion for orthodontics started at such young age, having worked closely with his uncle in their 35-year old orthodontic practice in India. He graduated from Dr.M.G.R Medical University in 1999 and earned his Master’s Degree in Orthodontics from Saveetha Dental College and Hospital, Dr.M.G.R Medical University in 2004. He completed his research in curve of Spee on Malocclusion and earned Ph.D in the field of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. He has 20 years of professional experience.

Dr. Vasanthan is attached with post graduate teaching faculty and teaches orthodontics extensively to the post graduate students in Vinayaka Mission Dental College. Dr. Vasanthan actively participates in continuous dental education and has completed a number of courses and workshops related to Orthodontics and General Dentistry.

He is a professional fellowship of Pierre Fauchard Academy, U.S.A. He is an active member of the Indian Orthodontic Society, Qatar association of Indian dentists, The Dubai Health authority, The Qatar Council of Health Care Practitioners, Indian Orthodontic Society, Indian Dental Association, Indian Society of Oral Implantology , The Indian association of Forensic Odontology , The South West Tamilnadu Orthodontic Study Group. Dr. Vasanthan specializes in treating children with preventive and interceptive orthodontics, and adults with invisible and surgical orthodontics. He has done various Publications in National and International Conferences.

He specializes in fixed orthodontic treatments using the latest self-ligating systems such as the Smart clip (3M), Damon system and Clear Aligners.
